Upgrading passive barriers in a live high-footfall environment
Savoy required an intensive remedial pass of all utility penetration boundaries, wall-to-floor junctions, and seismic joints across their five major transit junctions. The work had to be completed out-of-hours to prevent commercial downtime while ensuring total alignment with strict ASFP guidance and UK building regulation Approved Document B.
Our accredited technical teams performed pre-installation thermal testing, carefully mapping old legacy service runs that lacked adequate compartmentation. We then devised a certified system of intumescent wraps, fire-rated sealants, and fire board enclosures to achieve a guaranteed 120-minute boundary rating.
