Upgrading Compartmentation Following a Fire Risk Assessment

Versa Studios on Kendal Avenue, London W3, is the home of Big Brother. The site’s Fire Risk Assessment found that its compartmentation needed upgrading, and the assessment’s action plan called for fire stopping installation works. Zyan Fire Protection was appointed to carry them out.
A Fire Risk Assessment tells a building owner what is wrong; it does not fix it. Our team took the assessment’s findings, surveyed the areas it flagged, and sealed the openings and penetrations through the site’s fire-rated walls, floors and ceilings with tested fire stopping systems. Each seal was labelled and photographed, and the completed works were recorded against the assessment’s actions so the studios can show the assessor that the items have been closed out.
The works upgraded the site’s compartmentation, closing out the fire stopping actions from the Fire Risk Assessment and leaving the studios with a record to show at the next one.
